Meet Our Bloggers and Influencers
Meet our bloggers and influencers, Jenny and Harry! They kicked off the POSH Patter blog as a fun project to run inline with their work together at the POSH Agency. A successful, global, digital marketing agency, based in Scotland, set up by Jenny in 2008. In comes Harry!
Harry joined POSH in 2019 as an SEO content writer and began working on the POSH Patter blog with Jenny. What was a fun, side project, became a wonderful success. Find out more about Jenny and Harry below.
Jenny Mills
So, where did the idea start? Well, Jenny decided to begin blogging after falling pregnant with her first child Millie. Then, she was working overtime, running her Glasgow based digital marketing agency. Travelling frequently whilst juggling home life was already a challenge. Imagine, living out in the sticks, away from family… And with 3 dogs, 5 cats and 4 horses, expecting a baby! Plus her hubby Richard works away from home. Oh, and she was always busy training or competing in the British Eventing circuit. Whilst desperately wanting to start a family she was terrified as to how to juggle in a baby to all this.
3 years on… She managed! And as a result, wants to help others to worry a little less than she did. Now fully back out on the eventing circuit. Managing mid-week on her own with a toddler. And living life to the full. But not without a few hiccups along the way.
Harry Loney
“Hey Harry, fancy collaborating on a blog where we can write whatever comes into our head?“
I mean, who can say no to that?! Harry became a freelance writer in 2018, working from home with two little pre-school boys and an equally entrepreneurial wife. And they dog sit.. so their house is VERY busy! POSH Patter has been a great way for him to share some of the highs and lows of such a lifestyle with the world, and to help others who are thinking about doing the same. Working at home with kids is exactly as difficult as you think it is – but it’s not impossible, and is extremely satisfying.
Harry’s background in writing goes way back to the early 2000’s when he studied for a postgraduate MA in Screenwriting. He found that having a solid grasp of narrative and story structure was something agencies and communication roles were looking for, and so began a career in marketing and communications. Harry says “I’ve worked on loads of exciting projects, taking me across the world from Inverness to Dubai, but there’s nowhere I’d rather be than here at home, typing away with an Irn Bru and my wee boys playing at my feet. Well, apart from in a spa somewhere. I’d probably always rather be in a spa somewhere.”
Why We Are So Good
Well, we are both trained online specialists. Harry is a professional SEO writer and Jenny is an online marketing whiz. So, we felt we had a little more to add to the world with POSH Patter.
